How to connect your Shopify store to MerishAI

Everything in MerishAI starts with your Shopify store. Once it is connected, MerishAI reads your catalog - product photos, descriptions, prices - and uses it to enrich products, train your Creative Director, and generate video ads. Here is how to connect it.

1. Create your account

Go to dashboard.merishai.com/signup and sign up. Every new account gets 500 free credits, enough to connect your store and make your first videos before you spend anything.

2. Open the connect dialog

From your workspace, click New Store (Workspace → Stores → New Store). If you just signed up, the onboarding flow brings you here automatically. You will see two ways to connect: Quick Start and Custom App.

3a. Quick Start (fastest)

Quick Start needs only two things:

• Shopify store URL - your yourstore.myshopify.com address
• Store name - a label so you recognise the store later

3b. Custom App (full connection)

Choose Custom App if you want MerishAI to publish content directly to your store. The dialog walks you through it:

1. Go to partners.shopify.com → Apps → Create app → Custom app
2. Set API scopes to exactly: readproducts, writeproducts, readcontent, writecontent, read_themes
3. Install the app on your store - Test your app → Select store → Install
4. Go to Client credentials and copy the Client ID and Client Secret
5. Paste them into the fields and click Connect Store

4. Confirm the connection

Your store now appears on the Stores page with an Active status. From here you can also set your business profile (tone, region, currency, language) and connect channels like YouTube, Facebook + Instagram, and Google Ads for publishing later.
