You cannot out-write a market you have not listened to. Before MerishAI generates a single ad for a product, it can go and find what real people already say about products like yours: the YouTube reviews they watch, the questions they ask Google, the complaints and praise they leave behind.
That is a social signals scan. It runs from the Social Buzz section of any product in your Knowledge Vault, costs 5 credits, and usually turns a pile of raw mentions into a shortlist of scored, usable angles.
The short version:
Open a product in the Knowledge Vault and scroll to Social Buzz
Click Choose Platforms & Scan, pick the platforms you care about, and start the scan
Read the signal cards: badges, scores, and feature sentiment on each one
Use the best signals to brief your actor, script, and angles in Content Studio
What a scan actually collects
A scan is product-specific. It searches for content about this one product (and the competitors you added), not your whole store, which keeps every result relevant. A typical scan finds dozens of videos, reviews, and discussions, and stores the strongest ones as signals.
Signal cards after a scan: a Viral Moment and an Unanswered Question, each with Match Quality, Platform Fit, and Buy Intent scores
Each signal lands as a card with everything you need to judge it at a glance:
Badges tell you what kind of signal it is. A Viral Moment is a piece of content getting outsized attention right now. A Brand Mention is someone talking about the brand directly. An Unanswered Question is a real buyer question nobody has answered well - and those are gold, because your ad can be the answer.
Match Quality scores how relevant the signal is to your product, so you do not waste time on mentions that just happen to share a word with it.
Platform Fit tells you how well that signal's style matches the platform it came from, which hints at where your ad should live.
Buy Intent estimates how close the audience of that content is to purchasing.
More signals: a Brand Mention and buyer questions, with Feature Sentiment chips under each card
Read the feature sentiment, not just the scores
Under every card, Feature Sentiment chips break the conversation down by product feature - price, scent, value, packaging, whatever matters in your category - with a thumbs up or down per feature.
This is the difference between "people like this kind of product" and "people love the scent but think the packaging is cheap". The second sentence writes your ad for you: lead with the scent, fix or avoid the packaging frame.
What to do with the results
Viral Moments with strong Buy Intent are your formats to copy - study why that video worked and build on the same hook.
Unanswered Questions become your script's opening line. If buyers keep asking "what does it actually smell like?", the ad answers it in the first three seconds.
Weak Match Quality signals you can ignore entirely - they keep the noise out of your brief.
Once you know what resonates, the next step is depth: switch on Deep Audience Analysis when you scan (or click Deep Analysis on a product you already scanned) to learn who those people are, not just what they said. We covered that in the previous post - How to run a deep audience analysis on your products.
